China intrusion a diplomatic slap over RP

Philippine president Noynoy Aquino: whom will I choose?

What is happening in the disputed islands of the Spratlys? Shortly after Philippine president Noynoy Aquino spent at least four hours aboard the US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the president is now confering with the Defense minister of China.

Fact is both sides agreed to keep it real cool and not resort to violence shortly after Philippine antiquated radar spotted Chinese airplanes illegally flying over Philippine airspace.

Chinese authorities went diplomatic the day the report came out. Are the Chinese concerned that the U.S. will use the issue to interfere in the Spratlys dispute. A few days earlier, U.S. authorities reiterated its policy of defending the Philippines against both domestic and foreign aggression. Seemed like another colonialist brat turned global cop wants another slice of the Pacific.

China wants an enhanced presence in the disputed isles. It is one of the claimant countries, along with the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Taiwan and others.

The recent intrusion of Chinese fighter jets in the islands belonging to the Philippines, and those illegal flybys in Philippine airspace is a recent diplomatic slap to the Philippines.
