Manny Pacquiao is training very hard. He’s not leaving any stone unturned in his fight with Shane Mosley. Mosley is an older but more scientific boxer. And despite winning the odds against Mosley, the world’s best pound-for-pound boxer is not going to Las Vegas to lose.
Even Mosley. Despite being described as a “has-been” boxer by Floyd Mayweather Jr. (who got an unanimous decision out of Mosley), Mosley is not your ordinary boxer. He’s dangerous. He’s methodological and has a few tricks in his sleeves. Yes, the Pacman is faster but if Mosley watched the Pacquiao-Margarito fight, he’ll know what to do to dominate the Filipino–use whatever his advantages are to dominate Pacquiao.
It would not be a walk in the park for Pacquiao, that’s for sure, although his trainer and coach Freddie Roach wants to end the match in the third round. However, if Pacquiao wants boxing fans to enjoy the full length of the fight, it’s possible for the Pacman to win via unanimous decision. Such win, however, would tarnish his reputation.
Pacman is not gunning for the money now. He’s the Philippines wealthiest Congressman with about 1 billion pesos worth of assets. He’s fighting for more glory. The question is—will MOsley give it to the Pacman?
If Mosley wins here, he’ll reap multi-million dollar deals. If he loses, then the Pacquiao fights another day.Who will it be come May 6?
