Osama Bin Laden is dead–U.S. Pentagon

Osama bin Laden, the alleged leader of the dreaded Al Qaeda terrorist organisation is dead.

Bin Laden, who reportedly masterminded the 9/11 attacks on the US was reportedly killed somewhere in the mountainous region of Pakistan and Afghanistan. It was unclear though how he was killed.

Sources at the Pentagon said Bin Laden’s body was retrieved from the site of the encounter. His body was flown to the US for examination.

US President Barack Obama is scheduled to announce this in a nationwide telecast.

Bin Laden, whose whereabouts were topics of discussion by several international analysts, was a son of a prominent Bin Laden billionaire. He helped the US in the fight of Afghanistan against the Russians. When an Islamist government was established, Bin Laden reportedly turned against his U.S. allies.

After the 9/11 attacks, Bin Laden has since been on the lam. He managed to sneak out videos of him lambasting the U.S. Several analysts had only an inkling of his whereabouts which were described as somewhere between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Al Qaeda reportedly made a base in those regions.
