Willie Revillame and Child Abuse

Willie Revillame exploits 6-year old child

Mang Inasal, a restaurant under the Jollibee group, is the latest advertiser to leave the controversial TV5 show, Willing Willi. Several other advertisers are following suit.

CDO, whose logo was shown during that controversial scene, has not issued any statement, so far.

Really now, the video showing the 6 year old kid Jan-Jan dancing like a macho dancer has, what, 4 million Youtube hits already. This issue has really hit a very sensitive nerve.

Jan-Jan’s parents went on air and defended Willie Revillame from several accusations. Worse, Willie tried very hard to defend his wrongful and tortuous act by again, requesting the tortured child to dance once more.

It did not, however, appease thousands of people who saw the initial video of the dancing Jan-Jan.

Jan-Jan was really very distraught when Willie Revillame asked the child to dance. Worse, the parents tried very hard to ask Jan-Jan to dance, even Jan-Jan’s young sister.

Instead of really showing an apology, Willie Revillame defended his acts. Whatever he says, that scene was really child abuse. He should really explain it to the courts.

The DSWD secretary Dingky Soliman has already issued a stand. The department will investigate and file appropriate charges if necessary against the show hosts, the show producers and probably, even the parents. These parents should be taught a lesson, never to use their kids just to get money.
